Day 143/365 - Update after a while. Hehe

Okay, my tomorrow turned into 2 weeks later.... haha!  whoopsie...

Had a super impromptu/ spontaneous trip over to London with my madre for the last 10 days!  Turns out my dad had enough points on his card to exchange 2 business class return tickets for London that were gonna expire at the end of this month, so of course we HAD to go! :D

Also, I've never actually sat in Business class properly SO was super stoked about that! Plus, its the whole 180 degrees reclining seat so we had a full extra good sleeping experience. AND DENG IM JUST SO THANKFUL FOR THE EXPERIENCE. Don't know when I'll ever get to sit Business class again lol *jakun* But, the food was all yummy and man. SO MUCH PEPPERMINT TEA ON an airplane, I've never (i love peppermint tea). But it was a good experience, never been so refreshed after a 12 hour flight. Hahah OH AND they gave us pillows and a super fluffy duvet?! Like, Diana told me about that but I never expected them to really give us a duvet. So I was super sakai HAHA probably embarassed my mom. lolol

Since it was coinciding with Mother's day as well, I decided to plan a wee trip down to Italy for Momma since she's always wanted to go! Lucky for me, I managed to source out cheap ass ticket to Verona and so I planned a trip out for her :D I've been to Italy once with my super travel buddy Allisan in 2011, having spent 2.5 weeks in Milan, Verona, Pisa, Venice, Sienna, Bologna, Florence and Rome. So I assumed, it'll be nice to revisit some places. My mom's dream place has always been Venice. So, of course that had to be on the list! So our Italian adventures consisted of Verona, two nights in Venice and Bologna, since there were cheap flight out from Bologna to London!

I am so so 100 x thankful we had this trip, while it was quite challenging: Business class allows up up to 40kgs each for the luggage, we therefore had a lot of "space" so being women/girls, we HAD to fill up all the space.  Which meant loads of pulling and tugging and heavy lifting... HAHA. Loads of shopping and eating this trip, two of my ABSOLUTE favourite things as well as being able to catch up with some people I haven't seen in a while: Amilyn & Diana. So I was really really really REALLY happy to be able to have this trip. Also, haven't spent some alone alone time with my mumma in a while too, so UGH. SO HAPPY.

Anyway, I still have Jun's Easter Trip to cover and then I have to cover this spontaneous trip as well! So, expect loads of pictures coming your way soon! hehe

Apart from that, nothing much else has been happening LOL. Met up with Becky today, for tea and chatting so that was nice. ALSO, trimmed Scamp's fur. Took me a whole hour to cut off most of his body fur so now he doesn't resemble a sheep or a carpet anymore. He looks a whole lot younger and fresher! Mad happy, wish I had done it soon.

This weekend is gonna be ace. Spending it with my one and only Kalowee (Chloe lol) and I can't wait HEHE.

Also, my 5 week break here in Brunei (and turns out to the UK/Italy) as well, is nearly over. Will be heading back to KL on Monday so I am not quite looking forward to that. SO SAD TO LEAVE MY FURBABIES SOB. But Rosy's jioed me out for Maleficent on Wednesday (okay, I lied. I #thickfaced invited myself BUT SHE SAID YES) so I am looking forward to that, plus I haven't seen her (and the rest of them lovely KL peeps) in a whole month + so I have missed their faces quite a bit :)

Day 114/365

So onwards with the journey with #JunInSEA. I want to say JunInMalaysia, but he wasn't only in Malaysia and to be fair, all countries are based in SEA. So why not. Haha

On the second day that Jun is over here, we had to make a road trip up to Kedah (where I was born) to meet up with my maternal side of the family (and my mother! It's her hometown).

Having been out the night before, and only getting sleep at around 4 in the morning... I was awake by 5AM and by 6AM we were both out of the house. *SO PROUD* We decided to get some food in our tums before starting our 6 hour journey on the road - a total of 423 KMs to be exact.

What's better than Roti telur at 6AM??? ?NOTHING. mwahahha

 Anyway, it was really tiring driving for such long hours. It was definitely a first for me (driving- I mean). The longest I've ever driven was maybe for a good 2 hours. But 6 hours or even 3? Nah, never in my life. So soon enough, my hands started getting numb and I was getting uber sleepy. Even though Jun was lovely enough to stay up with me all the way and we were singing along to lots of The Script and the sorts.

Half way through, I realised I couldn't go on (so dramatic LOL), but really. We were already stopping at all the rest stops and I was getting sooo restless that Jun decided to step in! hehe B doesn't have a license yet but I guess the highway was just made of super straight roads so why not right. Here's some pictures of my love driving the car! wh00p wh00p.

I most definitely felt safe seeing as I fell asleep for about 100KM and only had to wake cause Jun didn't know where I had kept my Touch and Go card! Well done baby! :D

I had so much fun driving down with you, love. You're the best companion I could ever ask for! hehe and I am super happy you didn't succumb to the sleepy monster even though you were most probably jetlag as all hell  and tired from having so little sleep!

Anyway, we reached Kedah and was reunited with my mom's side of the family. So there was a whole reunion lunch thing and then we went to ching ming my grandparents and had lots and lots of food in between..

Then our parents sort of went home to chill out but I had to get some stuff done for my dad before I met him in Penang so Wei, Jun and I decided to go check out one of the techy malls. (LOL) and then we ended up wasting time in an arcade! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! We must've spent about 2 hours there.

We stayed there until we had to meet the oldies for dinner, luckily it was just a walking distance away so we did that! That night, we had some really good nasi lemak. (K Nasi Lemak -- if you're wondering and ever wanting to try when you head down to Kedah) and some wanton mee. hehe

Overall it was such a lovely day. So busy from morning to night that I think we all had a really good sleep that night! I think it was quite overwhelming for Jun cause he actually met nearly 80% of my mom's side of the family and we both weren't quite expecting that! I thought it would just be a couple of them lol .

But I'm glad he got to meet them anyway :)

Day 86/365

I'm Hello! Today, has been a great day :D

First off, started my day with a couple of episodes of My Love From The Stars. I'm up to episode 13 now! I think I'll finish it by tomorrow. Exciting. Hehehe 

Also, went by The Inc. at Scott Garden for a little pamper session as introduced by Swan! 

I'm a unicorn! Hahahaha 

Went for a cut, color and treatment sesh for my hair and I am now with a shorter do and a darker hair tone.  Got a two-tone color so, after a few washes, my highlights will start to show! Exciting. It was my first time dying my hair professionally too. Been doing it with box hair color for the longest time. ( since I was about 16 years old) 

Anyway, after 2.5 hours in the saloon I was crazy hunger and was super craving zhap fan! So off I went to my favourite 12号 mixed rice shop in Yulek! 

All this for RM4! So good too and totally hit the spot. 

Then I went home and watched more of the K-Drama. And then I got ready for dins! Woohoo 

We went to Coco Stramboat, the Old Klang Road branch ! I've had coco a few times already so I know I love it. I am glad everyone enjoyed it as well :) 

As you can see, I've been making good use of my fish eye lens.  LOL best purchase March 2014!!!!! 

Then we made our way to Chatime for a chat afterwards and for something sweet to fill our tummies. 

It was so much fun seeing everyone today! 

Ahhh... Today has been such a good day, I am majorly thankful. Also B told me he had checked in online already so OH MY DAYS only two more days till I see my love! HEHE 

Okay, one more episode of MLFTS, then off to bed I go!

Day 71/365

"But what can I say,

About something that blows me away..

From what I've seen and I've heard,

The Script - There are no words. 

I've been going cray with The Script in my car these past couple of days. Belting it super loud while driving to and fro from work. SO GOOD.  

Then it always takes me back to a year ago when I caught them live with Jun and Diana. #GoodTimes. Miss my BFFS like mad. At least one of them will be with me soon and I'll see the other in 6 months! ☺️

Today has been a hella tiring day but I am glad anyway. Enjoyed the day today albeit was a little stressed out at times. I think I should wear more bright lippies. It always makes me feel better about the day. Something bout them bright lips :) 

Here's my #FOTD:

On my lips I have M.A.C's Candy YumYum! I bought it a while ago but only just rediscovered it in my drawer completely untouched. So I thought why the hell not. Did not regret it one bit! I am glad they decided to make it again! It wS discontinued for a bit and MAC had this whole thing where they let the public vote for their favourite discontinued lippie and the one that won would make a comeback! Candy YumYum won last year so I am glad it did :)

I had a really bad hair day today but my fringe was alright so meh. Hahahha 

Also, didn't sweat too much today so that was ace!

Day 69/365

Today I experienced some new things. 

One of them was an amazing pineapple tart/pastry thing that I didn't get to take a picture of cause I kinda scoffed it down in a matter of seconds but oh my days, it was some good stuff! We are heading there tomorrow again and hopefully get there in time for the egg tarts. Apparently they're the best in KL. I can always do with a good egg tart so I am majorly excited! 

We also had a really good bowl of pork noodles (well in my case: Mee hoon)

Omnomnom. So tasty! And for RM8, people say it's quite expensive for a bowl of noodles but to me it's worth it! Came with 8 pork balls, 2 sausages, mince meat, soup and noodles. Damn nice la ok!

Also, received my Taylor Swift, The RED Concert tickets!!!!!! 

Don't know of you can tell but I'm mad delirious about them lah! I'll be going with Alli darling and Anthony ☺️☺️☺️ I love Taylor Swift to bits so I am more than happy to be able to attend her concert. 

At the end of the end, decided in wanted to paint my nails a nice happy color because well, I feel like I'm in a good place at the moment. 

Have a good Tuesday everyone! It's going to be a tiring one tomorrow--I think, but it'll be fine.

Day 62/365

Hello everyone! A good start to the week so far :) Except the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio still has not won an Oscar even though he gets nominated nearly every year?! 2015 will be your year Leo! I can feel it. (well, if he comes out with another movie. If I was him, I would be so unmotivated I'd just retire and spend the rest of my life eating good food and travelling.)

Spent a good 2 hours in the gym with C,D and J. It was good fun! I like how going to the gym w/ them is super not daunting at all! And I actually end up enjoying myself so much. That and I pretty much have non existant arms right now.

Had chilli pan mee for lunchies today with Su Wan and IT WAS SO GOOD. I was majorly craving it as well so I am mad happy I got to have it. Omnomnom. Also, ordered a bowl of fu chuk and pork balls. NOM. I can't wait to bring Jun there to try! I think he would enjoy it.

One sad thing is that the Haze is here in Malaysia for a visit! And it's quite bad too :( Hoping it gets better soons, or at least rains a little more often to clear up the air. It makes my skin and eyes so irritated. Meh

I am hella tired and today has been quite overwhelming.

Day 61/365

Halo! Wie geht's dir? 

How was everyone's week! Mine has been blinking awesome this week, I can only hope for the same next week. 

Started off the day heading down to Publika to see the most lovely Rosanne and Aster. But before that, here's an #OOTD with my CMI face. Haha

Stars and Stripes! (captain America reference-- Jun and I saw a captain America doll once that keeps saying this sentence whenever you press it's belly and ever since then, it's just been stuck in our heads. Hehe)

Shoes: Zara (I love these shoes but they make my feet look so big. I am only a size 36/ uk4!) 

Anyway, after much consideration, we headed to Coffee Societe for brunch! Well, I say Brunch, Aster had nuggets.... HAHAHHAHA 

I ordered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with whole grain toast and tbh the only thing I enjoyed was the bread. Even the butter was melted by the time it got to me. Pfft 

Meh. 

Anyway, spent a good hour talking and just basically having a good laugh. I am going to miss having the both of them in the office with me tomorrow! Dreading work now. Sob HAHAHHAHA 

Love these girls cause they would never say no to my million and one selfies and asking the waiter to help us take a pic. Some people really don't like it when I do this :( 

After that we jalaned a little around publika and seriously, there is nothing to do there unless you want to eat? Also, we only went there cause we had an appointment somewhere nearby! 

We went to the Brew Culture for some cow juice after our appointment! 

Here's me with my matcha cow juice. I totes regretted ordering this. But Rosanne's choco cow juice looked super yums. I might try that next time. Also, I read reviews that their ham and cheese croissant is to die for so that's on my list as well! :D 

Also, can you are the color I dyed my hAir? I really like the outcome of this so I am just going to stick to this brand for a while. I used Palty's instead of my usual liese. It is a good RM10 extra and a little difficult to find but I find it is really good and application is so much faster as well! 

Wow. See how I just went off track there?  Haha 

Anyway, also managed to stop by SaSa and I feel like I am going to go in there a whole lot this month..... I hope I don't know cause I don't think my wallet can take it. BUT I managed to find some things I was looking for! 

One of them happened to be this Hilfiger perfume that I've been dying to get. I mean the bottle is to die for! The nice scent is a big bonus. HEHE 

I am a huge sucker for anything preppy even tho it is totally not up my street at all. Haha! I wish I could pull preppy off tho. It would be so rad. 

It's the Peach blossom edition btw, if you're wondering :)

Also headed to my Aunt's for dins tonight. So #blessed.

Also, been reading about water shortages around here and I am thankful that my house is not affected (yet anyway). Don't know what I would do if there was no water. *freaks out*

Day 59/365

Hello wello everyone! 

Hope everyone had a good week, and that the weekend will bring happiness and good rest for all :D 

Today was yet another great day! This week so far has been just about the best week I've had in 2014?! 

Let me do an #OOTD just because (I have pictures in hand) 

Heh heh 

Yup, all you KL-ians, that photo is indeed taken in Publika because we had a goodbye lunch for Aster our *star* intern! 3 months went by so quickly and I am so glad that she joined our team even if it was just for a while! 

We ate at Namoo on the Park, a Korean fusion place that's meant to be quite popular for their desserts and that's exactly what I had-- Dessert! :D dessert for lunch. Ohhhhh yeah. That's what I'm talking about. Hehe 

This is my lunch and it has lasted me all day. From 1PM and now it's 11PM and I'm still not hungry! Super condensed sweet potato cake although, it's more like super condensed Sweet potatoes with a tiny bit of cream. I totally envisioned it differently while reading the description. Costed about RM12 ish. Which I thought was super worth it cause it was just so darn filling! Definitely something that you would have to take in small doses only because it is so so dense. 

I had the whole slice. Darren, KW, Aster, Louise, En Wei and Su Wan all took bites from it too and even then I was sort of struggling to finish it! 

Everyone else had pretty much standard Korean food. Aster recommends the garlic Bulgogi rice, she says it's super tasty and out of 16 people at lunch today; 4 ordered that exact dish. Haha! 

The bibimbap looked alright as well. Coffee was a little disappointing. Mine tasted like coffee flavoured water. Price wise, it's not the cheapest alternative for lunch but apparently between 12pm and 3pm, there's a 20% discount on all food items! So that was a pleasant surprise :) for 16 pax + Drinks, we paid a total of about RM 300++. 

The only thing I would like to point out that although you're paying a serving charge, please do not expect any kind of grade A service here. Sure, the staff were polite enough but there was no professionalism at all and everything was really super confusing. So meh.

To Aster: Thank you for making time in the office super bearable and funny. I am glad for your presence in my life now and how you always "layan" me even when I'm being absolutely ridiculous. You're one of the most genuine and lovely person I know and you're just so beautiful inside and out. Rosanne and I will be missing you in the office super much! Rest assured we will still keep the Skype group chat alive and please go on it so we can all keep up with each other. HAHA

Later on in the evening, well, night cause I was stuck in the jam for about 2 hours, I headed out to the gym with Ches, Daryl & Justin. 

My lower body still aches.

Ahhh, another excellent day. These days I am mad happy :) Not a bad thing of course. Feeling so so so thankful for such lovely days.

Ended today with a lovely lovely dinner with a bunch of awesome people! Mad happy to be able to sit down and eat and laugh so much. Sadly, didn't remember to take a photo of everyone so here's some food! HAHA

 I hope tomorrow will be equally good, or even better! It's Aster's last day so it makes me sad.. no more intern! :3 hahahaha
