JENGJENGJENG, its the last day of 2008 and therefore obligatory last-post-of-the-year post! :D

Am I happy 2008 is finally over? Am I looking forward to 2009? Actually, I don't know. Part of me is glad that 2008 is finally over but another small tiny minute part of me is kind of scared 2008 is over. 2009 has tons of things in store for me. Mainly acedemic wise, among other things such as my 18th! and therefore license! Validity to do certain things! being a um, not grown up. But like, inbetween?! (wtf) I'm kind of excited for 2009. Albeit feeling scared as well.

SO! NEW YEARS RESOLUTION!! (which I never seem to try to resolve.... -.-... but i will this time!)
All the usual, haha be less procrastinaty, get more work done, actually STUDY and not slack. Lose some weight. (This is of different matter now. Yes I know I'm not fat, but I'm not SLIM and yeah. blah). Learn to be patient, forgive and forget and stop holding grudges. And maybe, grow taller. HAHAHA OH and IMPROVE GREATLY On the chinese language!!!!!!!! :D

Oooooh. Guess who decided to surprise me at home Friday night? :D KALOWEE, BIBIAN and DIANA! ^_^ All three dropped by the house for a swim + catchup and food! :) Diana brought Homemade Banana Crumble and Ice Cream and my mom whipped us up an awesome plate of fried bee hoon and we ordered in Pizza and had sausages as well. + Vitasoy and 7up and Carrot Juice. The way to go! :D And the healthy bunch of mosquitoes as well :P

It was a good night, didn't do much swimming.. just uh. soaking up water. All of us basically became as shrivelled as a prune by the end of the night. Haha! our fingers and feet looked like they aged 27928 years. But it was all good :) With the trampoline and belly flops into the water :P haha.

Anyway, school in.. 6 days! and 2009 in.. one day!!! :D Well, one and a half technically. cause tomorrow and todays just kind of started? I can't wait for thursday! i want to get a healthy "tan" before school! :D hmm.. maybe not. Y'know what I mean? Like that after glow after basking in the sun or does does that not apply here. Or maybe not. I'm not sure yet :P

It still hasn't settled in my puny brain that schools reopening next week or that my mocks starts next week. I am still not bothered to pick up a book to read or do anything! Hopeless I tell ya. T_T And i have SO much to revise ( i would think so). and Somehow, it is already registered in my brain that the mocks aren't that important anyway. -.- Someone tell me otherwise plz. Hahaha. Shit man, i'm so hopeless T_T eurgh can't wait to get past all this crap. So annoying.

YOU KNOW WHATS ANNOYING. Having an endless amount of phlegm stuck in your throat that won't freaking come out. Thats stupid annoying.EURGH. I've been taking medicine to get rid of the phlegm and it is not working. I can feel it there, but it just won't budge. So annoying :( and painful! I have a bad sore throat and sniffles occassionally.

woah, what. The mother just started screaming, apparently the house phone bills for this month exceeded $500. Definitely not me. I used the other phone for my personal calls. HMM.

*after 20 minutes* *#&@(&*YO* wtf its taking so long. SO right, had breakfast with mummy dearst at Countrypatch this morning. SO FULL! Had Pancakes, Sausages, Scrambled eggs and Hash browns. (I love hash browns! have i told you that? UNKNOWN FACT AMELIA LAU #874920) yes. my mom had lovely nasi lemak although she hated the fried chicken cause it was too dry. But the rice was green! like, luminous green. Kind of. And the rice was yummy!! Very mmm~ I took a few spoonful of rice as well. But breakfast was alright, i won't order the scrambled eggs next time. Maybe I'll try a sunnyside up egg with toast. But the hash browns were awesome. Crispy and yummy. :D And I really wanted to have some mango cheesecake but I think that would be very unethical right? 0.0 damn. I SHOULD HAVE gotten the mango cheesecake! gah.

Have I mentioned also, UNKNOWN FACT AMELIA LAU#874921 my favourite Cheese cake flavour is: MANGO CHEESECAKE! :D its my favourite. Nothing can beat mango cheesecake!! And i don't know how to bake it/ i have never tried. I shall one day.. And my favourite ice-cream flavour has got to be YAM! :D or sweet corn. Out of the basic flavours, would be VANILLA! Because vanilla goes with everything. hmm..

Yeah, I have toned down on my picture taking. Unfortunately for my blog :( but fear not! I shall get my mojo back somehow... Yesterday, I had 3 bowls of assam laksa because the mother woke up with an undying want to cook laksa at 7 in the morning -.- And so, throughout the day we had laksa to eat. Not that I'm complaining :) it was goooood laksa. heh heh.

Also, I didn't mention that while I was in Macau I drank/ate Water Buffalo's milk! Yeap. Now cow milk, not goat milk, not horse milk. but a Water Buffalo's milk! Well, technically I ate it cause they somehow made it into some kind of sweet curd that you were suppose to have with ginger. But I had mine plain and it was like really sweet milky taufufah. It was good, very smooth as well. I thought it was cows milk then suddenly, my dad was like, " EH u know you're drinking WATER BUFFALO MILK" and i was like *wince**choke* " Say whut" 0.0" Okay, I don't know I just felt a like 'Gali' after finding that out. Apparently, with wb (too long to type out the entire spelling :P) milk, the curd will come out smoother than that of a cow. my theory is the WB works harder than a cow (who just sits around and graze on grass, the WB does work right? like plough the lands or some shit like that) and so, they kind of churn the milk more in their stomach or wherever this milk is. I don't know. Wtf. HAHA one whole paragraph on WB milk. But yes. Thats what I think. It was interesting ^_^

And I finally got to reading Breaking Dawn. The 4th Installment to Twilight and the final one as well. Well, all I can say is WTF. I should have read it before doing our TOK prest man. Like, seriously. Bella is only 18 and the first quarter of the book talks about Bella having sex with Edward the Vampire and BECOMES PREGGERS! Yeap! Bella got pregnant and gives birth to a lovely daughter who is half human and half vampire. How absurd. And to think that mainly its the tweens category thats reading the book/series I think it was a little uncouthly (IS THIS A WORD!) of Meyers to write or start a book with sex and pregnancy. Sure Bella got married but really? is this what you want the whole world to think that you should get married at 18 cause the guy is a vampire and is smokin' hot and is ahhh. Yes. I think i might be too worked up over such a tiny matter :P haha but yes, it bugged me a whole lot. And is it just me or JACOB is such an annoying git!!! grr.

So, last night apart from talking to Kalowee and Bibian and chatting to a whole ton of people, I was also watching a whole bunch of Britney Spears videos. (Yes, very jobless. heh heh) But I think, IMO Britney looked the best in Toxic's Video! She was so pretty! Especially as the air hostess and I was listening to a bunch of other songs as well and its so sad, I remember being in primary school and singing along to her TAPES. Yes, cassette tapes :P I used to have all her tapes. And like, I could sing along to the WHOLE of the tape! Like, every single song and now yeah. Its all different genre i think thats how you would put it? Hmm

Yeah, shit man its hot today :( Why did I wear jeans and a two layer shirt!!! god i feel stupid. I WISH WE HAD WINTER IN BRUNEI!!! IT WOULD BE SO FUN! SCARVES AND GLOVES AND JACKETS AND BOOTS!!!! mostly scarves because i absodutedly lovelovelovelovelove scarves ♥ haha. It is the most awesome thing ever! Like, its so pretty to wrap around your neck and feel all snuggled and warm and yummy.

Watched Twilight on the big screen with Kalowee and German, after lunch with Fauzay and Kalowee at Countrypatch. Awesome chocolate cake! T_T and their ham and cheese crossaint, was good although it wasn't Kalowee's taste. Hmm.. but yes.

*MY OPINION, RESPECT IT OR IGNORE IT*

See, I knew I would regret watching Twilight, I knew I shouldn't have but honestly, listening to all my friends and all the good reviews they've given me.. I guess I had a very good impression of the film.

I was wronged :(

Twilight is nothing like I expected. Kalowee agrees with me that, the movie is boring. and confusing (to people who have not read the book) because they jump from scene to scene without explaining much. Edward Cullen, is well. Not edward. Well, the Cullens weren't what I expected them to be. Alice was alright, and Emmett too. But, not Carlisle (I do hope I have the spelling right, can't be bothered to check if I'm right heh heh). Kalowee even think he looks like a mouse of that fish character from Hellboy. T_T and They're TOO pasty skinned! It looks so fake! as well as the eyes!

*digress* OMG I JUST REALISED I don't have any fall out boy in the ipod. eurgh. okay downloading timeeeee *end digress*

And I found Bella to be excrutiatingly annoying, very stiff and i just don't feel the love y'know. Like that sentence I absolutely love from the book "and thirdly, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him." When she said it, it was just that. Like a mere statement. Something that didn't mean anything. I WAS DEVESTATED T_T Its my most favourite sentence and it didn't hit me anyhow. It was just like that. Gah! (Sorry, i really don't know how to get my frustration across)

and is it just me or did Edward look pretty freaky when he was staring? :S I mean, don't get me wrong, Robert Pattison isn't all that bad, it depends on the angle and lighting, in certain angles he does look pretty decent. but mostly he doesn't look wonderful :( Like Edward is supposed to be like. Its heartbreaking really. AND HIS VOICE. When he first spoke, he sounded really rusty lah T_T Kalowee was like ,"WTF". hahahahaha.

Okay, aside from the disappointment in the cast and their bad acting, the movie didn't potray the book well enough. I know that the movie wasn't going to be exactly like the book. but, they could've made more effort to TRY and follow some parts in the book right? :(

Outing with Diana was a success! Not much of a DS session, we walked about Kuilap like tourists! So if you saw two girls desperately trying to cross roads, it was most probably us :P Had food at Au Lait and Fun Wok, both was good :) and we bought DVDs and had a good long bitching session. Very theraputical. Heh heh

Also 'bumped' into Kalowee, her brother, her best friend and her mom! While on the way to meet up with Diana.

Watched Wild Child, the one with Emma Roberts in it after I got home while muching on 2 kgs of tangerines. :) I love tangerines, i eat them by the kilos. Very sweet and succulent that. The movie's alright, very very predictable but it was fun i guess, and the boy in question is pretty adorable. Have I told you guys how much I absolutely love british accents? Well, the nice sounding ones that is.. not the harsh sounding ones.. hmm.. :P Like, Ronald Weasley. ah. Love.
(Yes, i know his name is Rupert Grint, but I am big fan of Ron in Harry Potter. My favourite character!)

I also bought the Korean movie: My Father. its supposed to be super sad right? and the main actor: Daniel Henney is an eyecandy. Bonus! :P Will watch that soon.. and yes. Watched Run Papa Run last night with mommy dearest. Louis Koo acts in it and its a good movie! very nice, and sad but nice! :) Very cute also lah that movie. I have been watching SO many movies, its no wonder I'm not getting anything done T_T Gah.

Watched Mozart and the Whale today. Its about autistic people and their struggle to be in love due to their circumstances. I found the movie to be extremely sad and at some parts, I found myself voicing out, " NO!" and like yeah. but the ending is a good one :) and its pretty sweet. And Josh Harnett is a complete hottie as well. I think I'll be lending this dvd to Vivian when she gets back from HK.

Heading out with Diana tomorrow for a little catchup session + DS time! She's just come back from KK and am already jetting off to Singapore on tuesday. I'm full of envy. I want to jet off somewhere too, and never come back. I'm feeling really frustrated lately, and lethargic and easily annoyed. And I get distracted oh-so-easily, and switch between moods even easily-er. Its not good, its unhealthy i think.

Oh I need to go shower now cause we're heading out for dinner and I need to wash my hair.

I'm still lazy as ever to upload pictures cause the internet is being horrible :( its slow and frustrating and eurgh. And I totally dislike the weather in Brunei. its hot and unpredictable :( Like, it was burning this afternoon then it became cool and now its raining cats and dogs. Not that I mind the rain, I love the rain :) Rain is always good. It cools the weather and it makes me wanna sleep and.. dream. Dream good things.. like rainbows and mushroom soup. HAHA

OH yeah! A new layout! and this is here to stay for a long long time. And i think much of you would agree with it anyway cause its plain and its simple and the font is easy to read, not straining on the eyes and yes :) i am going to stick with this for awhile because school's reopening in 2 weeks, and then I'm going to be as busy as a bee I think and I won't be able to change the layout as often. And plus, I am getting lousier at this making layouts business :( I miss my creativity! WHERE ART THOU CREATIVITY?! :(

And something completely irrelecant, Kevjumba's got a new video up! :D So happy okay, he hasn't been making videos since going off for college or wherever he went and he's back! and Jackie's back! and he's adorable :) haha.

Back to my days.. 2009 is fast approaching! T_T Like, in 2 weeks, it'll be 2009 already! Its been so fast. I mean, like, time is passing by SO freaking fast its not even funny :( And I need to start revising, or try to anyway and exercise and do some school work.. and bake! and. god, so many things to do :(

So what have I accomplished this year? I think its time for my annual lists :P I know a little early this year. But I'll just do it now cause I'm in the mood for typing and thinking and listing :D i love lists! yes, i know i repeat that every year. In case you haven't noticed, I am a very repetitive girl. Not good.. not good..

So..

THIS YEAR,

• I went through Year 12 and started Year 13.
• I permed, and then straightened and tried out a new length (Short) on my hair :)
• I screwed up my fringe countless times.
• I have been to Turkey for CNY.
• I went to Bangkok for the summer holidays.
• I went to Hong Kong and Macau this christmas holiday.
• I fell out of love, fell into love and fell out of love again.
  
• I learnt to deal with tons of heartbreaks, as well as missing people.
• I finished composing one song!!!
• I have greatly improved in my Mandarin and Hokkien, thanks to Kalowee and Vivian :)
• I have experienced going out of Brunei for the first time. (i.e KK for CAS trip, Singapore with the Music class :))
• I went to Temburong with the Biology Class and had fun!
  
• I started going to Shahbandar and now is able to finish all 9 hills in less than an hour! ^_^ (I started, with 2 hours for 9 hills. Accomplishment!)
• I started using eyeliner! or try to. Haha Still fail at that department.
• I lost a hamster, Lupin and a dog, Daisy. May God bless both of you..
• I did my grade 7 Piano practical exam and didn't do very well..
• I started baking! and started loving it! :D
• I bought a new nano (4th gen) to replace the old (2nd gen).
• I got a new laptop! (the macbook :))
• I bought Rain's latest album! : his 5th! *proud*
  
• I experienced not sleeping for 2 days straight due to my procrastination. -.-
  
• I started my bad nail-biting habit again... (trying to stop.)
• I put on some weight and am looking forward to losing it. (but not going to circulate my life around that..)
• I have seen Becky very little, and I miss her but we talk on the phone enough to catch up on each other's life.
• I turned 17!
  

:) Its been pretty eventful-ish i suppose. And I would have more to write but some are more personal and who knows who reads here right? haha.

And you "faithful" readers whose been following my blog for the past couple of years would also know I'll do some other lists such as MOVIES watched in 2008 and HOTTEST Girls/Guys 2008. But I'm not going to do that this year or anyother years. Haha, Firstly, too many movies to watch and my memory is failing me ~_~ and hottest girls/guys. I only have one for both. Rain for the guys, closely followed by Gaspard and Leighton Meester for the girls :) cause Blair is Queen. HAHA WTF.

Oh goodness, today's blog is even wordier than the last but yes, hehe wasting 5 minutes of your life. Sorry that.

Christmas is coming up soon! I don't celebrate christmas unfortunately, but I know some people do and I'm envious :P haha I wish my family celebrated christmas. Its the Chinese Christmas tomorrow! like, some kind of chinese celebration that tomorrow, EVERYONE turns a year older and we eat those little glutinous balls (colourful) in syrup. I don't remember what they're called but my Grandmother used to make em when I was little and we (the grandkids) used to help her in the kitchen making those colourful little balls in an assortment of colours, blue, green, yellow, pink.. and then they'll get boiled and we'd eat em in syrup. Sweet sweet syrup. Man, i miss the innocence.

On a much brigher note, my fringe isn't as bad as it was before! its still horrendous, but its on the verge of being controlled. I'm desperately trying to get it to stay to one side but I suppose that's still not happening anytime soon because my fringe is still short. -.- hmm. And have anyone noticed, but my hair in general, not my fringe has grown so much!! it used to be hanging above my shoulders and now its kind of pass my shoulders! :) oh, how time has passed and I haven't even noticed. Just that just now, while I was tying my hair up i realised my baby hair on the back could be tied up as well! :D yay that.

Ok. I'm going to go watch Step Brothers now. Shit, there's some pretty bad thunder out there -_- i think thats my my internet connection is shitty. Is that why? 0.0

For you, a thousand times over.

Hello! :) As most of you would already know, my absence was due to me being on a short holiday to Hong Kong and Macau :) 3 nights in HK and 2 nights in Macau. Well, Hong Kong has been just wonderful! I absolutely love the place. Went there with the parents, my aunty and uncle from singapore. Met up with em at the Airport. In HongKong, we had relatives who was kind enough to accompany us all the time and bringing us around. Met up with my cousin, Ruth and her fiance Dean all the way from Canada. They're getting married next year! So exciting, I hope we'll be attending their wedding.

I love Hong Kong. I love the hustle bustle in the city and all the throngs of people walking packed like sardines. I love the weather, not too cold and not warm either. Just right :) like air-con. Although I did get sick on the last day.. high fever. Not cool :( But it was OK. I love how everyone speaks cantonese, its so sexy! haha And all those young saleguys in the shop ;) HAHA. Some of them are extremely cute when they start speaking english cause, some struggle.. and then when they finally speak. So cute okay *beams* HAHA wtf.

AND THE FOOD! *salivates* I went, and came back 4 kgs heavier! I kid you not. I cannot fit into most of my pants at the mo' its kind of sad. but worth it! the food was awesome! The DimSum.. Roasted meat! Eggtarts! ice-cream! DESSERTS! Noodles! I love their noodles, so yummy and the texture of the noodles are wonderful.. and their Polo Bun with the huge slab of butter in between.. Ham and egg noodles, ham and egg sandwiches.. ham and egg everything. FRIED RICE! T_T Guilangao is the love! and birds nest with ginko nuts. BLACK SESAME SOUP. Oh my gad. I love the food. If i stayed in hong kong i'd prolly balloon up and turn obese. I'm not kidding. Haha.

Been literally stuffing my face 24/7. Like, one usual day in HK..

8.30am - Breakfast
9.30am - Brunch-ish..
12.00pm - Lunch
1.oopm - Snacks
3.00pm - Dessert! and some more snacks..
5.00pm - Tea time
7.00pm - Dinner
8.30pm - Dessert/Siu Yeh
10.oopm - Ice-Cream/Jelly/Dessert

and some times, i'll have some random snacks in between because there's good food all over the place! once, i had 3 eggtarts at midnight, just before I was going to brush my teeth to go to bed. TRUE STORY!

And they had a ben&jerry's stall near my hotel so i had ice-cream most of the nights.. I loved the cinammon roll flavour.. with bits of cinammon buns! *heaven*

AND I LOVE DESSERT TIME DURING DIMSUM! Well, easily put I love desserts! puddings, jelly, ice-creams, pastries... mmm.....

Shopping wasn't too wow though because they were mainly selling winter clothes.. but the christmas sales are ongoing and I managed to snag myself a couple pairs of shoes, some shirts.. jeans.. skirts.. :D as well as my Rain CD! :D And some christmas goodies for the lovers :) It was difficult finding presents though cause of the winter clothing and we all do not need long sleeves in Brunei. and and meh. I hope you guys like what I got for you.. :)

Macau was good as well. Daddy got us two nights at the Venetian in suites.. and the rooms were so PRETTY! Very Gossip-Girl!! Like, the bed was so princessy. I loved it! And there was 2 televisions, a whole sofa set, dining table set.. photocopy+scanner! Wtf so random. HAHA. But it was indeed a pretty room. Although, the service of the hotel wasn't very good. :( There were too many people they couldn't attend to each of us personally. But the shopping area + food court area was simply wonderful! So beautiful and all the brands in the world! you could find everything under one room! like, literally. And, the casino was HUGE! :0 Can't wait till i'm 18 to actually try em out! :D only 5 more months! So exciting :)

YEAH. Pictures soon! I'm so lazy and I'm so tired still. Still gotta unpack some luggages -.- hmm

Oh, read The Kite Runner this afternoon. Finished the whole book in a matter of hours. Cried my heart out! its such a touching book. I got really angry at the main character at some parts but yeah. Its such a touching book. I'm gonna find the DVD for the movie! They didn't show it in Brunei I think cause it has reference to the Muslim religion.. but yeah.

K. I know. SO wordy.Sorry :) Just got excited mid-way and started typing non stop. I love typing so much non-stop :) heheheheeee. and i'm so lazy to breeze thru what I've typed to highlight some stuff. So this will have to do.

OKAY HI! I will make this quick. I don't think that will be possible but I have to try! Cause I have to pack!! I'm not half packed yet :( I was suppose to resume packing after coming home just now.. but I came home.. started munching on biscuits and tons of carrot juice and watched Privileged and Gossip Girl.. lost track of time and suddenly, it was time for dinner -_- wtf. ANYWAY.

Today! Wonderful! Started with lunch at Cheezbox with.. KIMPOSS!, DIANA!, SHIM! and VIVIAN! Good lunch. Sandwich and fries and waffles and maple syrup and more fries.. mmm..... friess..... Then we walked around aimlessly cause what else is there to do in the mall -.- THEN WE DDR-ed! Well, viv and I did. heh heh. Saw KALOWEE!, CHRIS!, YESMEAN!, JIA MIN! and GERMAN! briefly and then we went off for BOLT! :D WHICH is an AWESOMEZzzzz movie. Seriously! it was really good. I laughed SO much. Mainly cause it was so predictable, but the cartoon is SO cute x 484627. Seriously. T_T I loved the pigeons! Specially the hollywood ones. HEHE SO CUTE. Was in the same cinema with KENKEN! and MARK! No, they weren't watching the cartoon together alone -.- they were with another bunch of people. haha

After which, we walked around aimlessly.. DIANA! went home, then KIMPOSS! went home... Thank you Kimposs for the skirt! it fits just right :) Told ya it wouldn't be too big. hehe Then saw... Kalowee and the group + NICHOLA! and DENISE! Was the first time meeting DENISE! after uh.. exchanging tags at each others blog for so long ^_^ So talked to NICHOLA! for a little while.. then had to go home... cause I was supposed to come home and pack.. OH HAD VERY GOOD POPCORN as well! :D I love mixed popcorn cause you'll never know which you're gonna have in your mouth. or like, a mixture of both : An explosion of flavours :0 HAHA wtf.

Anyway, after the wonderful dinner, fried okra with onions, steamed eggs, kung po-chicken (with bacon.. mmm.. bacoonnnn..) and fried leek with pork... I talked to my daddy for a little while cause he was asking me to do something right.. and OMY DID I MENTION ABOUT MY ENCOUNTER WITH HEAVEN!!

Okay! Sunday I went out right! With Kalowee and them. I went down to QQstation.. to check out the SONY ERICSSON EXPERIA X1. and I asked the sales lady to let me try for awhile.. and
OH MY GAD!. I swear to god, there was music playing and light shining and rainbows popping when I touched the phone! I'M NOT KIDDING!! Especially when I slid it open. My goodness. My heart stopped for a second. Literally T_T The price tag is brilliant as well.. $1,188. Gah. But yes. Thats my little encounter with heaven for a while..

I digress.. anyway, so i mentioned to him..
